戏剧作品
The Department of 剧院 fills the academic calendar with four large 和 several small productions a year. All of our students, regardless of major or class year, are invited to audition or to serve in a technical capacity.
From day one, our students work closely with faculty in practical production positions. Even first-year students can work as assistant designers 和 assistant technical directors for main stage productions. And experienced students often serve as lighting or scenic designers, under faculty supervision.

欧律狄刻
欧律狄刻 is a modern retelling of the Ancient myth 和 love story of Orpheus 和 欧律狄刻 told from the perspective of 欧律狄刻 as she travels between the living world 和 the underworld.
The Mystery of Edwin Drood
Based on an unfinished novel by Charles Dickens, The Mystery of Edwin Drood, 的音乐, cleverly engages the audience in pursuit of an ending to its tale of murder 和 romance.
宴请嘉兰
Dame Smythe’s dramatic one-act opera 宴请嘉兰 from 1923 receives its first fully staged performances in the United States with this production, sharing the program with Malipiero’s 1925 comedy, 假小丑. The operas are unified by the traditional Italian commedia dell’arte acting-troupe characters that populate both stories. Jealousy, intrigue 和 mistaken identities lead to a happy conclusion in 假小丑 和 a shocking tragedy in 宴请嘉兰.
狼
In this student-directed play, 狼 explores the often hopeful, 有时是痛苦的, experiences 和 ambitions of nine high school girls on a competitive soccer team.
Choreopoem
A devised theatre piece, Choreopoem is written 和 performed by students enrolled in the spring 2024 Choreopoem class.
Second Stage Season
The second stage season features a collection of mostly student-generated productions focusing on bare-bones performances of challenging works in unconventional spaces.
24-Hour Play Festival

This annual audience favorite is an energetic large-cast excursion into the work of the Bard, often characterized by whimsical staging 和 “found objects” design.
